My name is Marco Manzi, I am an Italian IT Professional based in Helsinki, Finland. Outside from the IT world, my biggest passions are photography, music, nature and wildlife, as well as sciences and technological innovations in general. I am a curious person with a logical and analytical mindset, mixed with a touch of creativity and humor.
I have a Master's Degree in Mobile Computing - Services and Security from Aalto University ("User-Driven, Content-based, Automated Advertising via Social Network Integration" - 2012). Before that, I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science in Italy at Università degli Studi di Milano ("Studio e Analisi di Tecniche per il Rilevamento di Vulnerabilità in Applicazioni Web", study and analysis of techniques for vulnerability detection in web applications - 2007)

    Build new, scalable and robust solutions to improve internal processes (e.g. data reporting and ETL). Analyze, design, and develop software to enhance current and new products. Collaborate with operations and analytics team for client support and enhance data quality.

    Suomen Ympäristökeskus (SYKE)
    Development of Environmental Information Systems (HELCOM PLUS project). Migration of historical datasets from the old system (MS Access) to MS SQL Server. Analysis, testing and quality assurance of the data. Creation of basic QA procedures, data mapping and creation of stored procedures for different reporting and analysis needs.

    Baltic Environment Protection Commission (HELCOM)
    Coordination and kick-off of the Baltic-wide HELCOM PLUS project. Preparation of the project proposal. Communication with all relevant stakeholders. Project management, planning, budgeting and resource allocation. Requirement specification and analysis, data modeling and design.

    Designing and implementing the database for the internal accounting system of Torggler Chimica SPA. Programming the back-end structure of the application in accordance with the corresponding user interface. Creation of data import and export features, including data validation, manipulation and formatting.
